Expert offers “Bio-Psycho-Social” insights on student behavior issues during August 19, 2014 webinar offered for ASHA CE credit

The two-hour webinar will feature Dr. Prizant’s “Bio-Psycho-Social” perspective to evaluate the cause or trigger of the problem behavior. Participants will also learn innovative ways to address problem behaviors. All attendees will receive a Certificate of Completion for the webinar and ASHA members with a valid ASHA ID will receive 0.2 Continuing Education Units (CEU) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). There is no charge for participating in this webinar and receiving CEUs.

Dr. Barry Prizant has more than 40 years’ experience as a clinical scholar, researcher and international consultant on ASD and managing related emotional/behavioral challenges. He is an Adjunct Professor at Brown University and Director of Childhood Communication Services, a private practice. Barry is co-author of The SCERTS Model: A comprehensive educational approach for children with ASD (Prizant, Wetherby, Rubin, Laurent & Rydell, 2006). He has published more than 120 articles and chapters, serves on the advisory board of five professional journals, and has presented more than 700 seminars nationally and internationally.
