Newman-Crows Landing Unified School (NCLUSD) had difficulty recruiting and hiring new speech-language pathologists (SLPs). Alice Solis, the Director of Support Services, implemented PresenceLearning for the 2014-2015 school year to connect students with highly qualified SLPs online.
The district initially implemented services with students in grades 6-12, but expanded the services to students in grades 4 and 5. Now approximately 85 students in grades 4-12 are using the services.

After such positive results with online speech-language therapy, NLUSD is expanding to use PresenceLearning’s new psychoeducational assessment services beginning in January 2017.
One of our parents had questions about how her child’s speech disabilities were affecting his academic classes. One of our PresenceLearning online speech-language therapists took the initiative to collect feedback from all of the student’s teachers, and provided me with a recommendation.
