The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) has named Melissa Jakubowitz, CCC-SLP and vice president of Clinical Services at PresenceLearning, an ASHA Fellow for her outstanding professional contributions to the field. Melissa has more than 20 years of clinical and managerial SLP experience. She is an ASHA Board Certified Specialist in Child Language and has held leadership positions with ASHA, including having served as Legislative Counselor for 13 years, serving as chair of the Credential Committee. She also served as chair of the Education Subcommittee of the ASHA Board of Ethics, and program committee member of the ASHA Conference. Jakubowitz served as president of the California Speech-Language-Hearing Association, one of the largest SLP state associations in the country. She is widely published and is a tireless advocate for telepractice.
