Virginia Schools Now Eligible to Receive Medicaid Reimbursements for Speech Telepractice Services

Schools now have a more cost-effective way to provide speech-language therapy services to students with special needs

SAN FRANCISCO, June 13, 2012 – Virginia’s Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) recently announced that Virginia schools are eligible to receive Medicaid reimbursement for telepractice services, also known as online speech therapy.
