Mia Hegazy

Mia Hegazy, Interim CEO and board member, is an investor with Catalyst where she sources, executes and supports investments across technology-enabled services. Mia covers education and connected health, among other sectors, and she co-led Catalyst’s initial investment in PresenceLearning in 2015. She is committed to PresenceLearning's mission to improve the lives of students, administrators and clinicians. In addition to her board role at PresenceLearning, Mia serves as a board observer for Envoy Global, Galvanize, Jobvite and Weave. Formerly an investment banking analyst with Berenson & Company, Mia worked on M&A and restructuring transactions across a number of industries, with a focus on technology and media. Mia earned a BA in Economics and a BA in Urban Studies from Brown University.

Tim Catlin

Tim has held executive roles at nine startups, seeing two through an IPO, and has also served for companies including Apple, Intuit, and Tree.com. Like all of our team, a desire to do good in the world led Tim to the healthcare and education space and PresenceLearning. Prior to PresenceLearning, Tim was the VP of Engineering at Change.org, the world’s platform for change, and the GM of Developer Experience at Zynga. Outside of the office, Tim is a talented musician, and is active in his community and on non-profit boards. Tim holds a Bachelors in Computer Science from Brown University.

Layla Ward

Layla is a finance executive with a strong background in management and leadership. Prior to joining PresenceLearning, she served as the Vice President of Corporate Finance and the Head of Financial Compliance at GlobalLogic. She previously worked in financial planning and analysis at Logitech and Flextronics. She holds an MD in Pediatrics from Kazakh Medical University, a BS in Finance from Eurasion Institute of Marketing, and an MBA in Finance and Marketing from the University of San Francisco.

Shanelle Reese

Shanelle carries a wide spectrum of experience building and transforming HR practices in start-ups, non-profits and corporations. Prior to PresenceLearning, she led HR Operations at Amerit Fleet Solutions before transitioning to an HR Project Manager role at UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital of Oakland. Shanelle is passionate about advocating for children with special needs having advocated for her son who currently has an active IEP. Shanelle holds a B.A. in Sociology and an M.S. in Human Resource Management.

Jack Phillips

Jack has spent his career in client-facing roles for technology-enabled companies, running sales and customer success organizations throughout the Pacific Northwest. Jack focuses his energy on delighting our clients and supporting the teams that drive customer retention and growth. Prior to joining PresenceLearning, Jack headed up the enterprise solutions team for Upwork (formerly oDesk), helping small and large enterprises build and leverage teams of freelancers to support their businesses. Jack also served as Vice President of Sales and Client Services at Accolo, leading the organization through a period of hyper-growth and landing them at #42 of the Inc. 500's fastest growing company list.

Cole Dudley

Cole has spent half his life working in product management, having started his first business, an ecommerce company, while still in high school. (It was acquired in 2003.) Prior to PresenceLearning, he spent four years as a product manager and Senior Director/General Manager at Gaia Interactive where he worked on web, social and mobile applications and managed the product, marketing, engineering, QA, customer service and creative teams. He also brings a personal understanding of the needs of students and clinicians, having received articulation therapy as a child. Cole holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Economics from the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and an M.B.A. from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.
